Agentic development

Fourteen products, eight months, one pair of hands

Market data products, planning and supply-chain systems, browser games and rendering engines, workflow automation. Different domains, one habit: take something manual and opaque, and turn it into something somebody else can operate — the ingestion underneath, an interface, the tests, and the deploy.

None of these started as a commission. If you have one you want to exist, that is the conversation — bring the idea, not a specification.

How these actually get built

Agents make volume cheap. They do not make correctness cheap — that still has to be engineered. The discipline is what makes the output trustworthy.

Specification before code

Each project starts as a written contract — what it must do, what it must never do, what “done” means. Ambiguity is the one thing agents amplify rather than absorb, so it gets removed before a single file is generated.

Agents do the volume

Scaffolding, integrations, migrations, test fixtures — the work that is large but not subtle gets delegated. I stay responsible for architecture and for reading every diff. Delegation is not abdication.

Tests are the gate

Generated code earns trust by passing something. This very site is the clearest example: guardrail tests for structure and accessibility, translation-parity checks across languages, and a deploy preflight that resolves every link before anything ships.

Financial data products

Public-filing pipelines and quantitative research tooling: ingestion, normalisation, and a front end somebody other than the author can sit down in front of. The hard part is never the chart — it is the parts of the data that lie.

Quantitative research

SearchForAlpha Lab

BriefTest a strategy honestly before anyone risks money on it — signals, costs and drawdown against real history, not a spreadsheet.

Python Dash pandas Plotly pytest
Try the live demo

Free 7-day trial with your email. Prices and fundamentals frozen at the 11 September 2026 close; no broker, and runs are capped.

Regulatory filings

13F Screener

BriefKnow which funds opened, added to or exited a position the day the 13F lands, without anybody reading a filing.

Python FastAPI React SQLite Telegram
Try the live demo

Leave an email, get a link back. Read-only; filings to 1 June 2026.

Civic data extraction

Congressional Disclosure Tracker

BriefTurn a public disclosure regime that publishes loose forms into a dataset somebody can actually query.

Python SQLite React Polygon API
Try the live demo

No sign-up. Read-only, data frozen 12 September 2026.

Portfolio accounting

SwingJournal

BriefKnow what a portfolio has actually returned — after currency, withholding tax and fees, across five account types — when the broker hands you a CSV and a percentage.

Next.js TypeScript Drizzle PostgreSQL Recharts

Code and a walkthrough on request.

Games and simulation

Real-time rendering, simulation loops and game feel — the areas where a defect is visible rather than statistical, and where nobody grades on intent. All three run entirely in the browser, with no backend at all.

Browser strategy

Asterbloom

BriefA finished browser strategy game in the Eufloria lineage — no engine licence, no bought assets, and it has to be playable, not just runnable.

TypeScript PixiJS Vite Vitest
Try the live demo

The whole game, no sign-up. Opens 60 seconds into a match.

Rendering engine

Voxel City Builder

BriefRender and simulate a city in the browser at a frame rate a player will accept, on whatever hardware they happen to have.

TypeScript WebGL Web Workers Vite
Try the live demo

The whole builder, no sign-up. Needs WebGL; a laptop GPU will feel the larger cities.

Generative graphics

Fractal Mandala Visualiser

BriefExplore Islamic geometric pattern the way you would a map — every parameter live at frame rate, on whatever GPU the browser happens to have, and any view worth keeping shareable as a link.

JavaScript WebGL GLSL
Try the live demo

The whole visualiser, no sign-up. Needs WebGL; the control panel is in Italian.

Automation and workflow tooling

Each one started as an hour somebody was losing every week to a manual pass. Small in scope and honest about it — but each runs unattended, and has done for months.

Multi-source aggregation

Job Alert Bot

BriefBuilt for a friend who was losing an evening a week to a dozen job boards. The bot makes that pass instead, hourly.

Node.js SQLite Discord.js Playwright

Code and a walkthrough on request.

BriefAnswer a London one-bed ad the hour it appears, in a price band where the good ones are gone by the evening, without sitting on two portals all day.

Construction and supply chain

Where the software meets the discipline. These run against real standards and real vendor APIs, which is what makes them awkward — and what makes them worth building.

Multi-agent systems

Agentic Supply-Chain Orchestrator

BriefWatch the events that break a supply chain, cost the alternatives, and put a named person in front of every decision that spends money.

If you want one of these built for you

Almost every project above began as somebody describing a problem out loud. If you have one, there is a page for what it costs, how it runs and what you leave with.

Bring the idea. I will tell you what it takes.

If you want to know how someone works, look at their code rather than their claims — ask for access and I will walk you through any build on this page, the code, the decisions, and what I would do differently. And if you have something you want built, thirty minutes is usually enough to know whether I am the right person for it. I will say so if I am not.
